Latest date for filing of last year’s Tax Returns

 

Latest date for filing of last year’s Tax Returns if the Revenue are to process the calculations (recommended). Final deadline for filing these Returns is 31st January.

5 October

Notifying the Revenue of new income source

 

Latest date for notifying the Inland Revenue of a new source of income in the last tax year which puts you in the Higher Rate Tax band, or of a taxable Capital Gain, (only if you have not already received a Tax Return or a Notice to complete one).

31 January

Payments Due

 

Balancing payment of last year’s income tax and Capital Gains Tax due. first interim payment of this year’s income tax due.

Tax Return

 

This is the latest date for filing income Tax Returns for the tax year ending on the previous 5th April. Automatic penalties arise for later filing.

5 April

Latest Date for Realising Capital Losses

 

Latest date for realising capital losses against this year’s gains and for paying dividends to fall within this year.

19 May

Latest date for filing end of year payroll

 

Latest date for filing end of year payroll and sub-contractor forms P35 and SC35.

31 May

Provision of P60 to all employees

 

Latest date for provision of forms P60 to all employees.

6 July

Latest date for filing forms P11D (and P9D)

 

Latest date for filing forms P11D (and P9D). A copy must go to each employee by this date also.
